Daily offering
LORD make me receptive to what you are trying to bring forth in me. You know what is best for the salvation of my soul; I a little child, must be obedient to this rather than my own whims. Give me the ability to be content with the little growth you give me each day.

The world in its present form is passing away
Do not stress too much over the material accidents of the world. They aren't nothing, but they aren't everything.
Blessed are you who are poor, for the Kingdom of God is yours.
Is Christ here not speaking of how in our daily lives, when we empty and give of ourselves (being poor) we find true happiness and meaning? This is not to reduce the teachings of Christ as therapeutic, but to say truly, "The Kingdom of God is Within You"
The goal of any community-building we do, then, is not to bring about some sort of material utopia (duh) but to incite in us the appreciation of what we do have currently and see how it should be offered to God for his glorification, and in turn, ours.
