# Why should you abandon your career path?
1. The people in engineering are not role models.
2. Our clients are not people in my community.
3. I've learned what I can learn from it.
4. The types of solutions we produce are ones that this world has too many of. Industrial automation goes against the yearnings in my heart - to dignify labor.
5. You don’t really need a reason to quit a job.
6. The work does not embody the Gospel from head-to-toe and I really need a voice in my work life that is seeking this.
7. My muscles are atrophying. I'm becoming pigeonholed. I'm becoming a bugman. I hate this. My soul yearns for more.

# God wants me.
How does he want me?
- He wants me to be close to him and hear him.
- He wants me to be strong and healthy.
- He wants me to be wise.
- He wants me to be helpful to those around me.
- He doesn't want me to be a bugman.
- He doesn't want me to be isolated.
- He doesn't want me to be a dullard.
- He doesn't want me to solve _all_ of the world's problems. Only He can do that.
What problems are around me that I _can_ take on? What are _my_ problems that I can solve? I often say that "I don't have problems, only those around me do"... but then again I also overcame some problems.
### What did I overcome?
- A PMO addiction
-
### What am I yet to overcome?
- Finding purpose and meaning
- Being able to focus and stay attentive
- Speaking truthfully and tactfully |
