The veteran artist does not resent the wall. He resents the distractions. The distractions that prevent him from working on the things - the time spent off-task. Smalltalk, travel, meetings. The veteran artists resents the resentment. The distractions pay admission for the work, though.

Tom Sachs has always been an inspiration for me. I feel inclined to something like what he does. The rigor. The teamwork. The comraderie. That's what I want in a makerspace.
Doesn't happen overnight, I know. But that's achievable. That's something awesome and beautiful.
