Hi all!

Christmas will soon be upon us! I think it would be great to carol this year again - but more. Some thoughts:
|
|
1. Car-pooling around is nice to reach out to those who are in our fold, but we should really be going into the world. I would love to do door-to-door caroling in Heyworth, Clinton, Wapella... could do a couple times!
|
|
2. I can definitely get some other friends of mine at different parishes to come as well, especially if we're doing door-to-door. We should be able to have plenty of help!
|
|
3. I'm a proponent of letting Advent be Advent and Christmas be Christmas. It seems the world disagrees with this. But we could do Advent caroling (pick songs in expectation of the Nativity of Our Lord) as well as Christmas Caroling to remind the world that Christmas lasts at least 12 days.
|
|
4. Can we do Caroling in conjunction with / leading up to / or after Christmas eve mass at Wapella?
|
|
5. Hot cocoa and stuff at the parish hall afterwards? :)
|
|
6. Let's put out something in the bulletin asking if people are interested in joining, soon. I'm happy to organize this, but wanted to get buy-in and I'm curious if anyone has any strong ideas. |
