## Auto-Start Setup
To have the machine boot straight into LinuxCNC with no interaction:
### 1. Auto-login (optional)
Create a systemd override for tty1:
```bash
sudo systemctl edit getty@tty1
```
Add:
```ini
[Service]
ExecStart=
ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty --autologin linuxcnc --noclear %I $TERM
```
### 2. Auto-start X11/dwm on login
Add to `~/.bash_profile`:
```bash
if [ -z "$DISPLAY" ] && [ "$(tty)" = "/dev/tty1" ]; then
startx
fi
```
### 3. Auto-start LinuxCNC in dwm
In `~/.xinitrc`:
```bash
linuxcnc ~/linuxcnc/configs/lagun_gmoccapy/lagun_gmoccapy.ini &
exec dwm
```
Power on → auto-login → startx → dwm + LinuxCNC. A plain console is still available on tty2-6 (Ctrl+Alt+F2).
## E-Stop
The estop signal is looped back internally (`user-enable-out` -> `emc-enable-in`). There is no external hardware estop chain connected through LinuxCNC. The physical ESTOP button on GPIO 029 is configured as an input but not wired into the estop logic.
