- I didn't manage the trip well. I set no expectations even moment-to-moment. I failed to prepare an itinerary. I failed to decide what we were doing hour-to-hour. I left you drifting and aimless, and left myself drifting and aimless. There is a royal path to toe between structure and anarchy, and I definitely slipped into anarchy. Please forgive me for that.

- High-level goals are best when they are approaches
- Movement partner rather than 'trying to go back to where you were when dating'
- Ability to grieve; acknowledgement of reality; can't deal with the grief of us failing to live up to who we could be
- Women ARE MORE LIKELY TO BRING UP PROBLEMS - this is normal; they're more sensitive.
- If your wife is coming to you for help with her problems, you don't know, and she doesn't really even know either.
- People will often solve their problems themselves
- Listen and genuinely love; don't solve.
	- Summarizing can help
- Don't jump to solutions.
